Clay Animals
Fifth graders used their knowledge of clay building to plan and construct an animal with 4 legs. Students used a combination of pinch pots, coils, and slabs to construct their clay creature and used problem solving to build a free standing creature.
Dia De Los Muertos Skulls
5th graders learned about Dia de Los Muertos and designed their own skulls celebrating life using pattern and line. Skulls were colored with Ohuhu markers.
Using our knowledge of the color wheel students painted an umbrella and were challenged to come up with their own ideas for the rest of the composition. They look great!
Umbrella Color Wheels
Fifth graders learned how to mix the primary and secondary colors with tempera paint to create their own color wheels. Students were given freedom to design a character of their own choice holding the umbrella and a background.
Color Wheel Nilla Wafers
Here we are mixing the color wheel with frosting and Nilla Wafers. Yum, delicious practice!
